Anti-Racism Resources

Here, I will include some of the readings and info written by People of Color, as well as other resources. Anti-Racism Resources can be material that reveal our trained behavior and discriminatory mindsets as well as making the choice to hear black voices and consume art created by the BIPOC community.

“The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge”

- Daniel Boorstin

I attempted to make this as accessible as possible as Anti-Racism should not be stopped by financial factors. However, please buy products if you can! Supporting Black artists is INCREDIBLY important.

This is a link to "Women, Race, and Class" by Angela Davis. This is an amazing book by an amazing woman. Davis is an activist, philosopher, and author who has been active since the 60s.

A free version can be found online but I have not linked it because I want to encourage all who can to support Black Artists.

This is a link to Monique Melton's Website. She is an educator and host of the Shine Brighter Together podcast. Her Anti-Racism work is AMAZING so please check her material out.

This is a link to "The New Jim Crow" by Michelle Alexander. “Two years after Obama’s election, Alexander put the entire criminal justice system on trial, exposing racial discrimination from lawmaking to policing to the denial of voting rights to ex-prisoners. This bestseller struck the spark that would eventually light the fire of Black Lives Matter.”
—Ibram X. Kendi, The New York Times

Incredibly eye opening. Read this book! You can also donate via the link above.
